So… what’s a house party?

Think of it as a relaxed, adults only evening at a fellow Alameda family’s home. Snacks and drinks, good company, and a chance to meet the parents and caregivers you wave to at pickup but never quite get to talk to. No agenda, no dress code, no pressure. Just neighbors getting to know each other.

There’s a $25 suggested donation per guest, which you can easily contribute when you arrive. Your donation supports Friends of Alameda programs that make our school stronger and more connected.

 

Come for the drinks, stay for the laughs, and help us make this year’s house parties the best yet!

Why Attend?

Alameda House Parties are a long-standing tradition at Alameda Elementary—an opportunity for parents and caregivers to build community, strengthen friendships, and truly get to know the people you see at pick-up, drop-off, and on the sidelines of games for years to come. These gatherings, which are open-house, drop-in parties, allow you to simply stop in and say hi or stay for the night, whatever fits your mood. They help foster the connections that make our school stronger, creating a network of support that benefits both parents and children.

Your donations through Friends of Alameda directly impact our students by funding educational programs, classroom resources, and community-building events throughout the school year. When we come together, we create a more vibrant and supportive school experience for all!

Who (and what) is Friends of Alameda?

We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by parents and caregivers like you. We raise money to support our students and teachers at Alameda, and we try to have a good time doing it. Our events happen all year, from small gatherings to the golf scramble some of you joined this fall.

 

And the big one: the Spring Auction
Our biggest fundraiser of the year is a grown-up night out. Picture a themed party with great food, drinks, friends, and a lively live auction, all for a good cause: our kids. If you’re new to Alameda (hello, kindergarten and first grade families!), this is the night when the whole community comes together, and these house parties are the perfect warm-up.
