Field Day at Alameda!

Get ready for a BIG, LOUD, and ENERGY-FILLED day! The entire schoolyard will become a carnival of movement and excitement. It’s a day where kids own every inch of the playground—and adults are just lucky to be along for the ride.

It promises to be packed with games, laughter, and nonstop fun. But we can't do it without YOU!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED — 30 per time slot!

We’ll have lots of students at each session and want to offer as many exciting stations as possible. That means we need a strong team of parent volunteers to help make it happen.

  • No experience needed

  • Just bring your enthusiasm and get ready for some serious fun!

Event Schedule:

  • Grades K–2: 9:15 – 10:30 AM

  • Grades 3–5: 1:00 – 2:15 PM
Please arrive 30 minutes before your shift to get set up and ready.

A quick reminder:

To keep things running smoothly and safely, and to ensure you can stay focused and have fun, we ask that younger siblings stay at home during Field Day.

What is Field Day?

Field Day is that one magical day of the year when Alameda kids reign supreme over the playground and blacktop. It’s loud, joyful, and absolutely unforgettable — a high-energy celebration of fun, freedom, and friendly competition!

Just a few of the epic Field Day activities:

  • Jumprope Challenges – from classic jumps to partner tricks

  • Huge Ball Races – kids team up to push giant balls across the field

  • Floating Duck Grabs – fishing for prizes in splash-filled kiddie pools

  • Hurdle Jumping – leap like a champion across mini-obstacles
